World class mountain biking is within a short drive.  Dupont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, and FATS are all within about 90 minutes or less.  Croft State Park and the Palmetto Trail are only 15 minutes away.  For the committed souls, Old Dirt Road has about 5 miles of bikable trails on site.

With direct access to the Pacolet River Blueway, Old Dirt Road is a great place to start or end day trips.  Through-paddlers  are also welcome to spend a night or two on their way downriver.  More information and detailed maps available below.

The upstate is home to world class road biking from local backroads riding in both NC and SC to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville.  Spartanburg is also host to the annual Spartanburg Criterium and Assaults on Mt Marion and Mt Mitchell.  All of the houses at Old Dirt Road offer covered bike storage.
